Rechtien International Trucks, Inc. of Miami, Florida today announced it has signed an agreement to acquire Carolina International Trucks, Inc. with an area of responsibility covering the state of South Carolina.

Founded in 1992 by Dick Ryan, Carolina International Trucks is a full-service dealer representing the International, Hino, Idealease, IC Bus and Summit Trailers product lines. Under Dick and Kate Ryan’s leadership, the company has grown to become the largest commercial truck dealer in South Carolina with 6 locations in Columbia, Charleston, Conway, Florence, Greenville, and Greer. We’re excited to align with a company that values the customers and employees as much as we do.

Rechtien International was founded in 1981 and has been serving the South Florida market for over 40 years with locations in Miami, Ft Lauderdale, Fort Myers, Riviera Beach and Ft. Pierce. Rechtien is a full-service truck dealer representing International, Hino, Idealease, Ottawa, East and Dorsey trailers, as well as Navigator Forklifts.  Rechtien is also a parts and service support dealer for IC Bus, Cummins, and Allison.

With this acquisition Carolina International Trucks will become a subsidiary of Rechtien International with a total of 11 locations serving South Florida and South Carolina. Rechtien and Carolina will continue providing high quality products and services while leveraging an expanded market coverage to provide additional value for our customers and employees.
