International Launches HV Series
According to a press release, International Truck will manufacture a new line of severe service trucks. On September 25, International introduced its new trucks at the North American Commercial Vehicle Show in Atlanta, Georgia
Engine Information
The new HV Series vocational trucks are powered by a standard A26 12.4L big bore diesel engine, featuring best-in-class uptime, quiet operation and improved fuel efficiency. The lightweight A26 engine generates up to 475 hp and 1700 lb-ft of torque. It is more than 600 lbs lighter than traditional 15L designs. The A26 meets the B10 standard. To meet this standard, nine of 10 delivered engines must go 1.2 million miles before requiring a major repair. The trucks are also available with optional Cummins B6.7 and L9 engines
Important Features
A double-sided, galvanized steel cab enhances durability. A half-inch-thick frame rail features a rating up to 3.35M RBM. A highly reliable, best-in-class HVAC system features a high-performance MAX defrost setting. The HV Series trucks are available with the optional OnCommand® Connection, featuring OTA programming and remote diagnostics. The Diamond Logic electrical system allows programming of automated tasks
International offers its HV Series vehicles in regular, extended and crew cab configurations. It is now possible to place orders for HV Series trucks, and they will arrive in the marketplace in March 2018
